Adult Swimming Coaching
Progress with a structured method
Swimming coaching for adult swimmers, triathletes and swimrunners. Swim technique, open water and transitions.
Why most amateur swimmers stagnate despite years of training
Most adult swimmers accumulate volume in the pool hoping the body will adapt — and hit a glass ceiling after 12–18 months. The reason is rarely the engine: it's the technique. Water is 800 times denser than air, so every postural flaw costs energy on every stroke. Without a corrective protocol, you reinforce the same inefficient gestures session after session. Faster progress comes from clean fundamentals: body position, water catch, breathing rhythm, hip rotation. Once those four elements are aligned, the same volume produces dramatically better times — and open water suddenly becomes accessible.
The 4 technical mistakes that block 90% of amateur swimmers
Identified, corrected, locked in — in that order.
Poor body position
Head too high → legs sink → maximum drag. The most common flaw and the most expensive in energy. A few sessions of postural cues are enough to fix it.
Inefficient water catch
The arm 'scrapes' water instead of pushing it backward. Without a high elbow and an early catch, every stroke wastes 30% of its potential.
Broken arm/breathing coordination
Breathing breaks the stroke rhythm and stops propulsion. The fix is a precise sync between hip rotation, head turn and recovery arm.
No hip rotation
Swimming flat on the chest cuts you off from the body's biggest propulsion source. Active hip rotation lengthens the stroke and unlocks effortless speed.
What your swimming coaching includes
A complete framework, built around your calendar and your target goal.
- Personalized weekly plan — pool, open water, dryland
- Technical work with video sharing feedback
- Corrective drill protocol targeting your specific flaws
- Preparation for navigation and triathlon / swimrun transitions if relevant
- Race or distance objective strategy
- Mental preparation and stress management in open water
Who is it for?
Triathletes who lose minutes on the swim leg. Swimrunners who want to dominate the swim sections instead of suffering through them. Adults coming back to swimming after years away — or learning to swim efficiently for the first time. The common point: an ambitious amateur who refuses to settle for accumulating laps without progressing. The method adapts to every level — what matters is the willingness to work technique seriously.
